Is someone trapped right now?
The person inside does not know when the cabin will move, and you outside cannot see what is happening. Forcing a door open or telling someone to help themselves can turn an unsettling situation into a genuine hazard.
The technician arrives knowing the lift type, carrying the tools needed to move the cabin manually to the nearest floor without forcing anything. Once passengers are out, he checks the machine, sensors and wiring and hands you a report of what caused the stoppage and what repair is needed.
What emergency rescue and fault tracing covers
- Safe release of trapped passengers
- Inspection of cabin and machine after rescue
- Diagnosis of why the lift stopped
- Report of what needs repair

Does your situation call for emergency rescue?
Person trapped between floors
Passenger release comes first; inspection follows. Doors must not be opened before the cabin position is confirmed precisely.
Lift stopped but empty
An empty stopped cabin still needs prompt diagnosis; the site inspection, not guesswork, establishes why it stopped.
Repeated stoppages with no clear cause
Recurring stops may point to more than one fault; a site visit is needed to identify what has built up over time.
The fault report once passengers are safe

On-site inspection
- Cause of stoppage diagnosed
- Machine and sensors inspected
- Repair report handed over

After the visit
- Next step explained clearly
- Repair arranged if a part is needed
- Follow-up until the lift is back in service
Your concerns while the lift sits stuck
What determines the cost of an emergency call-out?
It depends on the lift type, location and what the post-rescue inspection finds. If parts or additional repair are needed, we tell you in detail before starting any further work so you can decide with full information.
How long will the lift be out of service?
It depends on the cause. A straightforward fault may be resolved in the same visit; if a part or deeper repair is needed, the site inspection establishes what is required and we arrange the next step with you.
Will the call-out cause noise or building works that affect tenants?
A correct rescue involves no breaking or cutting of materials. The inspection afterwards takes place inside the machine room and shaft only, with very little impact on the rest of the building.
Is the building safe during the release procedure?
Manual release requires the technician to confirm the cabin position precisely before any landing door is opened. This step exists to prevent the shaft from being exposed to anyone, and it is the first thing he verifies on arrival.
How do I know the technician can handle a rescue on the exact model installed here?
When you contact us we ask about the lift type, age and drive system before the technician sets off. That lets him select the right release tools and plan the procedure in advance, not on arrival.

What should a trapped person do while waiting for the technician?
Stay calm, press the alarm button or call for help. Do not try to force the door open or climb out of the top of the cabin however long the wait, as untrained movement can be dangerous.
Can the lift door be opened from outside?
Landing doors have a special release key that should only be used by a trained technician who first confirms where the cabin is. Opening without checking can expose the shaft drop to passengers.
Why does a lift stop between floors?
Causes vary: it could be a door sensor fault, a controller issue, a power cut, or a problem with the brakes or ropes. The actual cause is established by the on-site inspection carried out right after the rescue.
Will the lift work again immediately after the rescue?
It depends on what caused the stoppage. If the issue is straightforward it may be restarted in the same visit; if a part or deeper repair is needed, we will tell you and arrange the next step.
Can you repair the lift in the same rescue visit if the part is available?
If the inspection reveals a minor part the technician has with him, the repair may be completed in the same visit. If a different part or deeper work is needed, we will confirm the next step as soon as the rescue is done.
Does the rescue procedure differ from one lift to another?
Yes, it varies according to the lift type, age and drive system. That is why the technician needs to know the lift type before arriving, so he brings the right tools and plans the procedure correctly.
What should I tell building management or tenants while waiting for the technician?
Take the lift out of use immediately and tell everyone not to try moving the cabin or touching the control panel. Any untrained intervention before the technician arrives can complicate the rescue.
